Futurama Returns!!!!!!

Jane and I picked up Bender's Big Score last week. We're going to watch it again because our viewing was slightly ruined by a faulty DVD player (we had a few chapters that got skipped, so we were very confused). But I can definitely say this, if you are a hardcore fan of Futurama, you HAVE to pick this up. There's almost more fan-fare than there is story; and there's actually quite a bit of story.

Loved it, we're going to watch it again tonight.

Well, this sucks!

They need to get rid of King of the Hill and put Futurama in it's place.

Uh, no...they need to keep both if Futurama comes back.

Loved it, and still catch some reruns, but lately I am hooked on King Of The Hill.

I used to adore Family Guy, back when they had half seasons and were unsure about keeping it...before the DVD sales brought it back. Now, it just seems a bit too crude and stupid at times, or it did when it first came back. The last couple I saw were actually ok, so hopefully that keeps going along nicely.

American Dad is the show that has to go...

King of the Hill is a great show. There is not a poor character on that show. Bobby Hill is right up there with Homer Simpson.

king of the hill is a great show, as is futurama. I was thrilled to hear it was coming back... like a year ago. old news!

I'm gunna rent the movie tomorrow though

I like family guy, it's hit or miss, but makes me giggle, never been a great show

King of the Hill is more like an animated sitcom than a cartoon.

South Park is also a great show. Their "World of Warcraft" and "Guitar Hero" episodes were some of the best 22 minutes on tv.

Yes...I was going to post how Hank Hill seems to be a real guy who happens to be depicted in cartoon form, while Homer is more of a cartoon character.

Not to mention the "Closet" episode...I like how those guys are unapologetic about things they really shouldn't have to aplogize for in the first place.

It just dawned on me why shows like "Futurama," "King of the Hill," and "The Simpsons" (and even "South Park" to an extent) are so superior to shows like "Family Guy" and "American Dad."

The latter lacks heart.

People are genuinely moved after seeing how Fry's brother really did love and miss him. Or watch Bobby Hill grow up. Or see that Marge will always love Homer no matter how dumb he is.

With the latter shows, it's kind of gimicky "ha ha" hit or miss funny. And I don't care if I see it or not.
