I just found this on Isara, here is an excerpt from Billy West's (voice of Fry, Prof. Farnsworth, Zoidberg, Capt. Zapp Brannigan) message board:

I'm thisclose to selling my show--''Billy Bastard--Amateur Human Being,''
And the other good news is that they're doing 26 new episodes of
''Futurama'' for TV and we're hammering out the deal now.The original
plan was to have the DVD's first but that's no longer the case.I'm totaly
jammed dude.

If you were never into this show, you should check it out. It's easily as good, if not better than Family Guy and The Simpsons (I'm a hardcore Simpsons fan, but the past few seasons... :undecided)

If it's got all of the same writers, animators, voice talent, than this is one of the happiest days of my life. My Futurama discs are almost rubbed raw with how much I watch them.

I hope they show it over here in the UK, damn, I have to wait like.. well a long time, even then they may not show it?!!

Ain't It Cool News even reported it so you know the guy had a lot of people at FOX yelling at him.

Well, it could still be true. And keep in mind, he never said that FOX was picking it up. Because word on the grape vine has been that it may be Cartoon Network that's picking it up.

Even if it's not coming back (still crossing my fingers) they have definitely announced that there will be 4 straight to DVD movies, so that's something to look forward to.

In some more Groening-esque news, FOX just signed up for 2 more seasons of The Simpsons.
 
Futurama is part of a healthy tv diet, it's definitely my type of humor. I'm so glad there's cartoons for us "grown-ups!"

I think Billy West should make his own channel and air it on there- he's done enough voices to probably air reruns for a few years!

I've seen every single episode. I watch it everynight on teletoon. It'll be great to see some new stuff. It's not like I get cartoon network anyways.
