Fun With MACRO

One month with my DVX and I CAN'T STOP SHOOTING ****! I don't care what it is...A trashcan, the old lady across the street, my cat taking a dump in his litterbox...

It's two weeks until my first commercial (for a jewelry store), three weeks until my first short and I still don't have any lighting equip. (on it's way, though).  Anyway, I decided to do some macro tests since I'll be doing CUs on diamond rings and I learned something - I love shooting with macro!

Re: Fun With MACRO

Great I love them very much. And you are correct. Does not matter what it is just shoot it. ;)

Re: Fun With MACRO

Macro can be done with the leica dicomar lens that COMES WITH THE CAMERA?

Re: Fun With MACRO

Yes, you just have to be in the lower half of the zoom range (the wide-angle part). The wider you are, the closer you can get. On full wide angle you can get down to the surface of the lens.

Re: Fun With MACRO

yes the 100a even has increased macro capability.. gotta love that stuff, and the DOF is nice :)

Re: Fun With MACRO

Wow that's crazy.  I love macro stuff as well.  I also love Ghost in the Shell, and I have that same figure.  Everyone should give it a watch.  The Wachowski bros credited it as part of their inspiration for the Matrix.

Re: Fun With MACRO

Yeah the macro is great on the A. I love shooting macro!! I will post some flowers from my garden soon.

Re: Fun With MACRO

Squeezed. Still undecided on the anamorphic until I can test it.

Re: Fun With MACRO

gotcha, these images look pretty good for having been stretched to the size they are at.
