Fun at shooting the opening film for the Star Wars Jedi Con

[Postmaster]

I was shooting (DP) the opening film for the Star Wars Jedi Con last weekend.

The props and costumes they had where amazing.

Good clean old school fun :cheesy:

I can't lie. This would have been fun.

Here is some more.

Just came back from the Star Wars Jedi Convention.

Steve Sansweet & Matthew Wood from Lucas Film and Jake Lloyd (who played Anakin Skywalker) told me, that the opening film I did, was the best one they seen on a convention EVAR!

Woohoo!

I was spending the whole evening after the convention chatting with Jake Lloyd and his mum.
Great down to earth folks with an even greater sense of humor.

Congrats!

Can we see it some where?

[Postmaster]

FYI - The theme was "The Rocky Horror Star Wars Show". The film was the opening film that led direct from the screen to the stage show where the action was continued. There are some insider gags in it that come from the last Jedi Con and doesn´t make sense for everyone - so if you don´t get some of the scenes, thats why. (Heck some of them even I don`t understand).

Yeah, I can see where that would lead directly into a stage show. Good job, Frank.

[Postmaster]

Thank´s Blaine. I think it is not too shabby for 2 days of shooting as a one man crew.

Very cool. Was this shot day for night?
Funny stuff. Love the opening shot with the car.

Yes, day for night - and I really hate to do that.
I never saw DfN looking really convincing. Dawn for night works better, but gives you only an hour or two for shooting.

Yah, I thought it looked like that when I was watching it after you posted a link in the Cafe thread. Now that I've seen the BTS here it's pretty clear. Nice work though. It ended up working quite well. Love that opening shot. Great car as well.

Frank, I'm getting an "invalid password" on your video. Has it changed?

Nope. Still force on my end.

[Postmaster]

Yap, force still works - it may be case sensitive thou.
