As an associate video editor/producer, you'll be responsible for editing short- and medium-form online videos for non-profits, advocacy campaigns, and brands. Key Responsibilities
- Edit a wide variety of online video content, from 3:00 documentary/profile pieces to :30 second spots
- Assist in developing creative direction for projects
- Assist in on-location video production
- Contribute ideas to grow the department and expand the variety of projects we do
- Assist with a roster of clients and integrate video into their online and offline communications strategy
- 2+ years professional experience
- Expert understanding of FCP studio
- Expert with contemporary digital video workflows in a Mac environment
- Familiarity with HD cameras
- On-location video production experience (especially documentary)
- Ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with a small team
- Ability to work independently and "own" a project
- Comfortable taking direction from producers and other internal staff
- Strong writing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must send link to up-to-date video reel with application (specifying involvement in each project)
- Experience lighting and/or conducting interviews
- Experience with color-correction and sound mixing
- Knowledge of online distribution tactics (paid, earned and owned)
- Familiarity with online engagement, email marketing, and/or non-profit and advocacy programs
- Proficient with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
