VaricamLT: Fujinon Cabrio 20-120 Record Button not working?

Hello,

Hoping this is a simple solution or I'm just over looking something. When I attach the cabrio lens to the LT I'm unable to use the record button on the lens. I'm able to use the lens' other functions like zoom but not the record. Initially I thought this was an issue with the lens but the record button works when mounted on our Amira. Is there a menu setting for PL lenses I'm missing?

There is a menu page for lenses. I believe it's under CAMERA. It should give you settings for(in no particular order), EF, LDS, iCooke, B4. With my 17-120 I had to attach the lens cable to the LT(just like on our eng cameras) to get the record trigger to work. Data and power worked through the PL mount, but not record. I meant to ask my sales rep about it. Everything works perfectly through the PL mount with nothing else needed on my F55.

I don't remember which protocol the Fuji uses, but try LDS or Cooke.

*Edit*
Something weird I also ran into, depending on what I set the lens menu to, the camera would try to take over the iris(even though the lens was in manual) when I would trigger record with the cable attached.

There are also some dip switches hidden under a rubber cover on the front end of the lens servo grip. Consult the lens manual for proper settings.

Pretty sure this is dip switch related as well per Mitch's post above. Make sure lens has latest firmware as well. Pretty sure it has to go into Fujinon if it's not.

Thanks Noel and Mitch. But I was actually talking about my Canon 17-120, not the Fuji 20-120 of the OP.

I suggest contacting one of our tech guys on this. I don't deal with this directly on an ongoing basis so I can't point you to the details of a solution, but Barry or Laurence probably can as they are more hands-on. PM me if you need contact details.
