Fuji X-T3 released

Searching for a Gimbal Cam and after reading all i can about this Cam i am pretty sure its gonna be the X-T3..
So i tried it in the Store with the 17-55 stock lens and i noticed how fast the Autofocus was. Tried to slow it down in the settings but even on slowest setting it was quite fast. Now it was not on the newest firmware and i wanted to ask you guys how you can set it to slow focus pulls? Also has anyone experience with the canon 70-200 2,8 with the fringer adapter on the x-t3.. especially the Autofocus behaviour would be interesting..
thanks guys..

I use the EF 70-200 2.8 IS II with the Fringer X-Mount. It works well although my first copy of the Fringer was defective and only worked properly some of the time. Exchanged it and the new one seems to work so far. VERY unbalanced setup, super front heavy as the X-T3 is so small and light.

Perfect... Thank you both for the practical Info about Video.. :-) ... Youtube Videos seem to concentrate on Fotos which is understandable ..

Can it do continuous auto focus well?

I’m looking at that setup now. Though some have said that the Viltrox adapters are better. Would you say that functionality in terms of AF and stabilization is on par with the native Fuji equivalent (50-140) ? Others are welcome to jump in on this.

The Viltrox adapters are definitely cheaper, I don't know if they're any better. The Fringer, when it is working, works very well. I shot an interview with my X-T3 on my motion control slider with the Canon 50mm f/1.8 USM running at f/2.5 last week, pretty shallow DOF and it worked really well.
As far as the native Fuji lenses, I own the XF 18-55 f/2.8-4.0 OIS and the XF 16mm f/1.4 WR so I don't yet have any experience with the Fuji tele zooms. I am renting the 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 OIS for a shoot Friday so that will be my first time trying out the long Fuji glass. If you are heavy into Canon
glass, I would get an adapter, unless you are dumping Canon bodies and will only use the Canon glass on your Fuji body. In which case, I would sell the EF glass and buy Fuji XF to replace it simply because the Fuji glass is optimized for use with the Fuji cameras with CA correction, pincushioning reduction, etc.
The EF lenses generally are too large and heavy for the little Fuji X-T3 body as well, my 24-105 f/4.0 IS II USM is too large, and front heavy.

Dude! Envious. If I had the $$ available. Maybe later this year. I'd love to have an X-T3 rigged up with these, FF, baseplate/rods and then have a second that is kept stripped on gimbal. I would be set.
You're going to love those lenses, post some frame caps once you get them and shoot some interesting looking stuff. Good choice!

Awesome! Please post clips when you can. I'm searching hard for ways to justify these.

Yeah, I tried hard not to get them, especially because I am getting an Alexa Classic right now as well. But every time I looked through those lenses they were just so much better and easier for A/B cam narrative work that it just became an obvious choice. Everyone at BH admires these lenses, including the straight-uo photo guys. Constantly out of stock.

By the way, looking at the mounts, I realized that you can buy cheap Sony E mount bayonet rings on ebay and swap them out for the Fuji ones. Basically interchangeable mounts at $25 a pop. As the lenses have a built in back focus adjustment ring, you don't even need shims. It's important to not be locked into the Fuji echosystem if things keep evolving with Sony. As the lenses are fully manual, the only thing you lose on the Sony side would be the EXIF information. So that was really one of the deal sweetener's for me.

The X-T3 is slightly bigger, so it shouldn't as the cages are usually formfitting (but maybe some people snug them in there).

And it says: "Protective camera cage with 1/4" thread designed for Fujifulm XT2 only."

Thanks. I thought they might have labeled it "XT2 only" because it came out before the XT3 and they haven't updated the description... Also, can anyone recommend an SD card if I'm not going to shoot at max 400 mbps speeds 4K (100-200 mbps)?

If you, or someone else on this thread can confirm that this does indeed work - and try the lenses on both mfg's camera's.... this would be HUGE - at least for me. It's been the only thing holding me back from getting at least one, if not both of the Fuji lenses.
