FS700 - what glass will you use?

Had a quick question for those planning on buying or renting the FS700 when released - what lenses do you plan on using?
I won't disguise this as something it's not - I work for Cinevate and I'm trying to help out our R&D guys to see if there will be any demand for a lens adapter rig for the 700 similar to the one we made for the FS100 (our FS100 Lens Adapter Rigs)
Currently, our mounts are passive/non-communicative with the lens and camera body, so it would be purely for manual aperture/focus lenses. I know there's some nice Zeiss E-mount glass but I love our Nikon Zeiss ZF glass.
What are you planning on using?

Sticking with my Sigma lens set in Canon mount, so I guess you guys aren't making any mount that would help me. I just kind of prefer Canon mount since it seems to be the most common mount around (lots of Canon DSLR or ex-Canon DSLR shooters around, plus RED and the upcoming BMC camera).

Gotta say, if you are looking to make lens adapters for the FS700, you might want to consider an electronic EF adapter since the only option for NEX mount right now, even after the FS100 has been out for a year, is metabones which is perpetually out of stock and seems impossible to get and yet its also probably the most popular lens mount around. I've seen people selling that $399 mount for $999 on ebay since it is so hard to come by. Definitely a demand that needs more supply. On the other hand, with nikon or really any other manual/dumb mount, you may have a tough time since the market seems very saturated with dozens of manufacturers making those adapters in varying qualities including many cheap ones for $20 on ebay, which seems tough to compete with...

Well, if you could make an active Nikon mount for the FS100 and 700 I'd be all over it like a rash.

Is that even possible? If it is, make it so!

Oh for sure, we do have a Canon EF (and FD actually) mount option, but without electronic communication (so your L-series EF glass is a no go on this adapter) It's definitely a request I've heard at tradeshows and I'll continue to pass it along to the product dev. team. Thanks for the input!

Not just L-series, no one primarily using canon EF mount lenses would use a dumb canon mount as their primary adapter since almost all canon mount lenses from any manufacturer do not have manual apertures. That includes zeiss ZE or my sigma lenses. I have a dumb canon-nex mount as a backup which is quite solid but I got on ebay for ~$15. More than that for a dumb mount might be a tough sell :)

I have a lot of different types of lenses - EOS, Zeiss ZF, FD, Samyang, manual Nikon.

But since my favorite overall lenses are the Canon Ls and Zeiss ZF, I will probably be using mostly those with the Metabones adapter.

I have all Canon EF lenses which I purchased the Metabones adapter to have electronic control. I love the designs of the Cinevate FS100 rigs, but without electronic control or room to use the Metabones, it wouldn't work for me.

not really true - there is another one - mtf electronic Canon EF to Sony E Mount - http://www.lensadaptor.com/mtf-effect-canon-ef-sony-e-mount
+ u l need a box for iris control..... IS supported - http://www.lensadaptor.com/mtf-effect-control-unit

maybe not perfect but a solution!

I totally forgot about that adapter, good catch. Still leaves some room in the market I thin, one overpriced adapter that requires an external controller box, another that's quite hard to get...

I don't know yet. I'm getting the kit lens - there are probably better choices, but that gets me started (this will be my first video cam with removable lens). I've got some very old minolta lenses and a pretty decent newer nikor zoom lens that I may want to try with it. I think I'll use it for a while and let the situations dictate what I may need. That is, if I'm always saying to my self "I wish this went a little wider" then I'll know the direction to go... as far as format... that will be harder... I doubt I'll say "I wish this went wider in a Canon mount" :)

I'm not looking at buying one at this stage, but I'm very keen to rent an FS700 for some slow-mo goodness on the first TVC I can squeeze it into. I'd be using Zeiss CP.2s with the camera, so a E-mount to PL-lens adapter would certainly be handy.

I'll be using Red zooms 18-50mm and 50-150mm with the Vocas E-mount to PL-mount adapter. Not perfect but great entry level PL zooms for the money.
