FS700 w/ E Mount lens - autofocus w/o auto iris?

When I have an E Mount lens on my FS700 and switch over to autofocus, it also takes over the aperture. Is there a way to have the autofocus function activated still allow me to manually set the aperture?

I don't use auto anything very often so my camera is completely set up for manual operation. I say that because I just did a quick test and I can put my 700 in autofocus (and it is autofocusing) and I still have manual control of the aperture. So it is possible and I'm guessing its the way your camera is currently set up...

Now if I hit the iris button (below the fly wheel) it locks me out, if I hit it again I get manual control...so maybe something to look at.

Think there is... I usually put mine in manual then hit Push Auto Focus and it focuses... I think if you set it to manual but then there’s a switch for each function as well... don’t have the camera here and I’m too lazy to google images of it ;)

I'm the same way in that 99% of the time I'll rack focus, but the other day I had an instance when autofocus would have worked well had it not been for the aperture issue. The only way I was able to revert aperture back to manual was turning focus back to manual and hitting the Iris button, otherwise the iris dial does nothing. So I'll check that out and go through the menu and see if there's something I can toggle to disconnect the switch from aperture.

Thanks for the feedback!
