Just called Sony to get the upgrade for my FS700 and the price has been dropped to 250 euros / pounds.

That means I paid 83€ a week plus having sent my camera for a second time due to their faulty upgrade. Thanks Sony!

i'm realistic when it comes to companies changing prices, delaying products etc and try not to get too bothered but that is irritating. it's only been a month since i upgraded and I've been without camera for a further 6 days for further firmware update. i was going to suggest the customer service was rather good but that's tarnished it somewhat!

I just called the UK Sony Prime Support number - 0500 555622 - and they confirmed it is now £250. I am having mine picked up this week, nice one!

Well, 400 USD is exactly 250 pounds. You probably also paid way less for the cam itself in USA so I'd still say it's a win win for you. :)

People just looooooooooooove to complain...
They'd complain if the price went up, down or remained the same. Just shoot some great stuff, will ya????

Mine upgrade is already done but i still didnt pick the camera.
Maybe I'll bargain a bit ;)
