FS700 Upgrade - Please Help

Hey guys,

I've been trying to figure out where to send my FS700 to have it upgraded for 4k. I'm situated in Europe (Malta, to be exact). Has anyone here sent in their FS700 for upgrading? If so, could you point me in the right direction? And you wouldn't happen to know roughly how long I'll be without the camera while it's being upgraded?

For Europe, Sony service center is in UK.

You have to log in on Sony's website and fill in a demand for the upgrade. Search on the FS700 pages. Then they'll send you a special carboard to put the camera in.

It will take 2 maybe 3 weeks for the service center to do it.

When I upgraded in the US, it wasn't clear how it would be done, but you can call Sony Pro USA support. You set up what looks like a repair call but they'll tell you a fixed cost to get the upgrade done . (it was $400 USD when we did it last year).

The upgrade is fast, We got our camera turned around in 5 days.
