FS700 slo Mo and 24P files?

I am working with some Sony NEX footage and I am thinking it's from an FS700.
Since I have never used that camera myself I am confused.

The clips all show to be 1920X1080 at 23.976 FPS.
Many of them play back at regular speed and have the normal look of 24P during pans, etc.

Some of the clips play back in slow motion.

The slomo clips seem to be around 30 sec duration or less. So if they were shot in 120 or 240 FPS are they conformed and saved to the camera as a 23.976 file, meaning written to the card as a slow motion clip?
That would explain it.

The other thing that confuses me is that some of the other clips have fast pans and zooms but do not have the jerky 24P look. How can you manage that?

Yes, 120-240fps slo-mo clips are (can be) conformed and saved as 23.976 file. As you said, they are written to the card as slo-mo clip.

120/240fps files (if set to 24p mode) should end up as 24p files on the computer. If they allowed the full buffer to record to the SD card, the files should be 1:19 in length. If they hit "cancel" during the buffer writing to the card, they will be shorter.

Its ts not like on DSLRs where shooting in 60p created a 60p file that you have to conform to 24 for editing.

Not sure if that answers your question.
