Hey guys. I'm looking to maybe replace the FS700 side handle (the rosette one with the buttons). I'm looking to try something i haven't really seen people do, but it would just be a rubber grip handle like i've seen on Red Epic run n' gun set ups.
I was shooting recently and just kept hitting those buttons on the stock grip. Don't like having to slide my hand under the strap. Plus, mine is having that problem where the knob won't tighten all the way, not sure if i trust it. I'm just thinking i want a nice solid rubber grip there to hold while shooting run and gun without a full shoulder rig. Well, kind of like the Red Epic! I'd like to just kind of cradle it in my hands for a slightly lower shot, but have something to grab with my right hand other than that grip with all the buttons and the "this function won't work due to the state of the lens" error!
Only problem is that i don't think you can just order something like this...
http://smallrig.com/smallrig-rosette-handle-w-arri-style-rosette-black-rubber-grip-black-ring.html
Because i thought i read that the FS700 rosette is different than the Arri rosette. Is that true?
Also wondering if anyone has tried something like this, just having some kind of rubber grip on the rosette side.
