fs700 q7 and f3

Does anyone know if the Q7 will be a 10bit panel?
How useful and accurate will it be to use as a grading tool?
I know slog2 LUTs have been mentioned but was wondering if the original slog as used in the f3 will be getting any love and attention :)

We are looking into adding a fs700 as a first or second camera next year.
The Q7 looks great from the specs and I'm getting one from CVP here in the UK, as soon as it becomes available.

What I'd like to do straight off is record 1080p @50fps from the f3, hopefully without having to purchase any expansion options like the fs700 raw recording etc. If possible to a single ssd.

Also will be using its live scopes for grading along side my sony 17 inch LCD and a Panasonic Plasma.

In January / February next year we will have the budget to add an fs700 and the raw option plus more ssd's to the 7Q.

Dan if you could chime in that would be great?

The 7Q is looking like a tool that I'll be using on every shoot if the colour accuracy, LUT's and exposure tools are good.

It would appear from the specs on the C-D homepage that the O7Q is 8-bit display

Thanks for the heads up cuervo. Even though its 8 bit I think it will be an indispensable tool to have with me at every shoot.

I tend to get use to looking at one monitor all the time to judge exposure and focus. i do this at the moment with my Marshall 7 inch. And having nice deep black and a decent recorder with the 7Q to is just a ++ for me certainly.

The Odyssey7Q will work for the F3 as you describe right out of the box with no paid options. However we may not have all the functionality you are looking for until a firmware update in Jan-Feb.

Mitch thank you for taking time out to reply.

The great thing is I can start using the 7Q straight away as a monitor.

Hopefully soon with my f3.

Next year with the fs700.

Due to its 4k recording abilities it's somewhat furure proof too.

Can't wait to get hold of mine.
