FS700 + Odyssey7Q: my first short test...

I didn't even notice that fringing? Haha. I guess I don't look that close - I don't think most people do to be honest? Could be some chromatic-aberration though...

Anyway, here's my grade (made in Lightroom 4.4):

You also apparently didn't notice how green the image was when imported into LR. Lightroom (well, all Adobe products right now) don't import these RAW images properly. They import outrageously green, yet the tint slider is pre-slid 100% magenta; your only option is to add more green.

What the Heck? How is it possible that this looks so nice? From all the recent threads one would be under the impression that S-Log & 2K RAW is borderline useless, aliased, low dynamic range mediocrity.

Yet, every time I see the 240fps down sampled 2K RAW on the FS700 or F55 (similar down sample process I'm assuming), I think it looks great! Thanks Filippo for giving the pixel peepers on this forum a small glimmer of hope :)

I don't know jack crap but I've always felt that all the 2K problems must've been overhyped... if it's that bad they would've release it that way, right? I hope...

The new Adobe CC will manage RAW files properly... all RAW files :-)
Hopefully soon! Until then, at least DaVinci Resolve Lite will process these fine. Black Magic did a pretty brilliant thing by having a great free version... They've definitely got me looking at buying a copy for 4K footage!

Calm down. Was just having fun with the DNG, green or not. Adobe will sort it out.

Wait Fillipo how did you get your hands on a 7Q for testing?

I'm a Sony ICE (Independent Certified Expert) and, above all, I'm a film maker.
I love to test all kind of equipment for my work (not only Sony cameras).
The kind CD staff gave me the great opportunity to test the Odyssey7Q.
