FS700 O7Q: Playback of multiple clips

another Odyssey7Q question:

After recording 4K ProRes, using the current Firmware, I am only able to select a single clip in Playback mode. If I want to review a whole day of footage, I need to push 'Next" to go forward? Didn't we have a 'Select All" field in an earlier FW release?

Is this something, that will be improved in an upcoming Firmware Release? In a February 2015 Firmware Release (Dan mentioned something's coming in a short time)?
 
This is something that will return in a future firmware update. We found that playback glitches could occur when selecting multiple clips for playback in 4K ProRes. This was documented in Release Notes but we felt it prudent to remove a function that could lead to the Odyssey freezing and needing a power reboot.

Don't know when this will be corrected. One of the interesting aspects of a device that does many things is that you never know when one new feature in one area will create an issue in a completely different area. Who would think that a frame guide generator would cause issues in video playback, even when the frame guides aren't on? That's why we have so much testing.

There is a firmware update coming. But as indicated above, it is really difficult to ever know when we will be able to release it. Unexpected issues ALWAYS pop up and it can be mind-numbingly tedious to hunt the connection down.

Customable frameguides can be useful, too. Didn't expect, that a feature like that adds unwanted side effects. Stable operations under recording condition is top priority, of course, not playback.
 
On a related note I've found that with the latest firmware sometimes when juggling back and forth between playback and record it preselects the last recorded clip, sometimes there's a blank screen and you need to select the clip to play it back. What is the logic in it? I've yet to figure it out...
