FS700 hospital piece

Fantastic. Even without the camera this was talented all around.

It held my attention, which is not something I can say about most the stuff I see online.

Alex: I'm always bothered by directors who take all the credit and fail to even name the DP. This is a beautiful piece as seen thru the eyes of Ryan Taylor and I'm disappointed that I had to read the Vimeo credits to find his name and to realize that you place more value on the FS700 and Nikon lenses than you do on Taylor's vision. Shame on you.

Regards,
Scott

I directed this one, a good friend was my DP.

This seems like a bit of an overreaction. First off, he was only posting it to show people something that was shot on the FS700. Second, he didn't take any credit, you had to read the vimeo credits to see the director's OR DPs name, genius.

Really nice work! Great story and technically well done. FS700 frequently gets dinged for having a video look- definitely not here!

Credit is given on the Vimeo page. It's not wise to make assumptions without knowing someone personally, how they work, their values, or what they do professionally.

Many come to this forum to watch FS700 footage, for whatever reason, which is why I post my work here.

But, I gotta say, the 700 and Nikon lenses did all of the work here.

Wrong... but why am I not surprised you would say that.
Cameras and lenses are but tools to express the vision of the DP and enhance the film
Sadly, you seem to think that the DP's job is to make the director look good.
Hopefully Taylor will be wise enough to take his considerable talents elsewhere.

Sarcasm does not translate well over the internet. I was just kidding, and fully understand that a camera is merely a tool.

Please leave it at that, I'd like to let people get back to watching the work that was posted.

Thanks

Nice piece DM. BTW, who profile did you shoot it on?

Hey Scott, I doubt DM meant to slight anyone. I think he just wanted to show the work and did not mean any disrespect.
