FS700 and Odyssey image issue

Has anyone seen an issue like this with the odyssey?

It's basically a square pattern that appears on footage - generally when you are shooting light shining into the lens (getting some lens flare).

It appears on HD pro res, UHD pro res, 4K pro res footage so far. Only in the odyssey footage and not on my VF/monitor.

Any thoughts?FS700 Odyssey 7Q Issue.jpg

That is most likely the pixel pattern of the sensor reflecting. I've seen someone point this out before but with a different camera. I've shot a few hundred hours of footage on my FS700+O7Q+ setup and never seen this though.

Does it appear on the footage recorded in camera? If so, it's def your camera, not the 7Q

Do you know what camera? Maybe this is an odyssey problem then? I sent it to CD to see what they say.

Not sure which camera the member above is thinking of, but this was extremely popular with the BMPCC. Light hitting the sensor at a certain angle is causing it.

If you ever google "BMPCC grid pattern", you'll find many posts about it. I don't remember if BM ever fixed it with one of their firmware updates (they fixed many issues with multiple updates), but it looked identical to your screenshot.

To the best of my recollection it was a RED, but not certain about this. I think this issue crops up with most cameras but it's very rare.
