FS700 3.5mm and 2.5mm clip on the side?

Where can I get one? The small clip held on by a tiny precision screw. That holds the 3.5mm mic cable and 2.5mm one. The clip just above the FMU hard drive area.

Mine snapped off and broke in two after a lens fell out of my pocket when I knelt over and hit the side of the camcorder.

I am based in UK, London if that helps.

Talk to Sony Prime Support, or CVP. It's an available part as CVP replaced mine.

I could write whole books regarding how nice CVPs customer service is! I'm sure if you shoot them a mail, they'll be more than happy to help you.

So much for CVPs customer service ... being a previous customer spending thousands with them they haven't even responded to my email.

Sony Prime support have. They gave a me a list of vendors to contact for FS700 spares.

Its not that I, in any way, is affiliated with CVP, and I don't want to give you the impression that I aimlessly defend them, but that sounds really strange to me. Whenever I contact them, I typically get a response within hours, obviously unless I write to them at some bogus hour. Hell, I usually get responses from them during the weekends as well, although they make sure to tell me that is not their typical business model :) In any case, that really sucks to hear! At least you got Sony to respond so you can get it resolved in a timely manner.

I take back that comment. They are obviously really busy this week.

@epsom salt - Just got a reply 3 days later from CVP with the correct part number, and a direct link to add the item to cart and pay. £20.02p all in, Special Delivery paid via Paypal. Estimated to be in stock within 7 days so I guess it will be ordered in and then sent out RM Special D as soon as.

A little pricey for what it is with postage? but has to be bought I guess. It's either that, or i'll have a loose mic wire if I use the XLR Input 1.

Thanks for the help everyone.

I just unscrewed mine after part of it snapped. Loose cables? That's what gaff tape and velcro wraps are for, right?

Well, my half broken clamp can stay in the fs700 box as a spare as it's still 'half' functional. I'm a bit OCD about these things. I'm fairly sure, the camcorder would lose its value by £200-300 should I auction it off on ebay with a broken clip! just makes it look like it's been heavily used.
