Hey people! Im glad to be here, just get FS700R now. SLOG2 is fantastic feature, cant wait to share my tests!

Im interested for 24-70 lenses, and cant figure witch one to buy.

Im looking for -

Canon EF 24-70 mm f/2. 8 L USM
Tamron 24-70
Canon 24-105mm

IM using also speedbooster and
i have already kit lens, Rokion 35mm 1.4 and Canon 2.8 70-200 II USM L

Thanks for any answers!

The Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 with VC is great. Sharper than 24-105 and pretty sure even the V1 of 24-70... plus you get stabilization.

I'd totally get the Tamron was it not because it focuses the "wrong" way - it focuses the nikon way, and being used to the other way from years of experience it'd be hard to reverse.. I wish they'd change it (please someone correct me if they did change that) cause it's really quite a nice lens..

No, its still the "Nikon" way, but the last while I've needed to be focusing on the sony kit lens, so I've sort of taught myself both ways. The brain sometimes DOES get confused, but its not unbearable. (or if you have a follow focus which can "reverse" the direction, which my edelkrone focusplus does)

Owned both the 24-70 AND the 24-105 EF IS. After about 14 months I sold the 24-70. On a few occasions I found that 70mm just wasn't enough.

With the speedbooster, the 24-105 EF IS is without a doubt the best bang for your buck out there.

Thanks for fast reply's,i thought no one will answers ^^

So i think best solution for this is CANON EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM

I see some samples, looks pretty good, and with speedbooster its F/3, so not bad.

Be aware that the 24-105 has:
- a lot of barrel distortion at the wide end
- flares very easy esp. on the speedbooster (you'll need a matte box for a lot of situations)
- isn't the sharpest out on the market
- losses about 1/2 to 2/3 of a stop towards the long end
- is not parfocal (but close)

It's still my R'n G lens - but the Canon EF-S 17-55/2,8 IS on a smart adapter is another lens to consider, even if it's a plasticy lens.
It's sharp, doesn't flare that easy, has less distortion, no changing t-stop at the wide end...

I agree with the above - I have both the Canon 24-105 with the speedbooster and the EF-S 17-55 2.8 on a standard Metabones adapter. If the 17-55 had a longer end I'd use that lens more often, I prefer it to the 24-105, but it just isn't long enough for run and gun. I'm disappointed with the fact the 24-105 doesn't have a consistent fixed aperture throughout the whole focal range, it gets darker when zoomed in - despite the fact the f-stop remains the same - I only figured this out after I bought it.
