FS700 - 13 Stops of Dynamic Range?

Is there not a half stop directly under the arrow by the number 6? (not the stop the arrow is pointing to)

Yes, but people who don't want it to be there (i.e. who want to poo poo this camera before it's even released) won't see it.

Also, I trust Frank's opinion on it (...not to mention the fact that he has the camera in his hands right now).

Took the 700 for a walk this afternoon to find a high DR real world scene
To the naked eye, the foreground was much darker, than what you see in that grab.

It´s in the neighborhood of 11.5 stops (was a bit hard to meter, since the light was changing fast, as I run around with my spotmeter)

I lifted the shadows a bit and brought down the lights to legal levels.
I was surprised, that there was more room in the highlights, than in the shadows, that had a pretty flat bottom.

Frank

Wow, that looks really great! Thanks for doing that, Frank!

Frank,

It sounds like for higher than 60fps, the camera must buffer and then send a 30p or 24p signal out through HD/SDI to a Samurai, but I believe the camera can record 60fps continuously with no buffer. How did this work with a Samurai? It seems like this would not be possible without 3G. How did your results look?

You can feed the Samurai 60i (it's actually P in a wrapper) and it puts the fields back together with no loss in quality.
