Hi,
I want to invest in a new camera setup, owned an fs700, I have used it in al ways possible and need an upgrade. Most of the jobs I do are event-coverage, corporate and sports. I want to move more into music-clips and narrative work. What was important for me is 3D-lut support, a camera u can rely on and a first step in to 4k delivery, as well as HFR.
Here are my thoughts:
Camera: new fs7 mkII (love the extra userbuttons, the positive lock for use of heavier PL lenses.)
Lenses: Milvus lenses set: 25/35 (not sure yet), 50 mm and 85 mm. They are fullframe, weather sealed, long focus throw... Want to go for the EF mount because that matches easier with other branded lenses...
Adaptor: The metabones cine SMART and ULTRA speedbooster, that way I kinda double my Milvus set...
Accessories from smallrig, zacuto etc...
Thoughts on this choice at this point in 2018, should I wait for a new camera? Or maybe the EVA1? I don't think in the near future something big will change, this camera gives so much for it's price I think.
