FS7: FS7 internal viewfinder monitor protection

If anyone is interested in this:
I was looking to protect the internal FS7 monitor (as I store my viewfinder loupe seperated) to not scratching it while carring in the bag. Happy with this solution, it's a Sennheiser pouch for the EW G2 / G3 bodypacks which is called BPP. Just opened one side a bit for the cable and got a tailor around the corner to fix the edges. Turn it inside out, done. You can also hold it in place with an additional velcro attached if needed. Works great for me. I got it here (Germany and EU).

Greetings out to everyone ;-)

Love these sorts of creative alternative uses for items. A cell phone pouch would also work well.

I have one that has a belt loop and zips closed on the open end. I place my wireless transmitter inside the pouch to protect the transmitter and the belt loop provides an easy means of hanging the transmitter when taking a production sound feed for EPK shooting. Often I am far away from the transmitter and if it starts raining the little pouch protects the transmitter until the production sound mixer covers his cart or until I can get back to my transmitter.

A wide sweatband can also be used to protect the LCD. Or a thick tube sock. Or one of those soft lens wraps that have velcro on all four corners.

While on the surface this seem like a good idea except it seems to me you need to loosen/tighten the set screw, which IMO, could cause it to fail and then you would have a problem. I solved the set screw issue by getting a right angle block for my VF from SmallRig http://www.smallrig.com/CoolBlock-90-degree-angle-15mm-Rail-Block-1104.html.
This thing cost about $12 but allows you to fully adjust your VF without tools. You can really get it tightened to eliminate VF drift and it's EZ Peezy to remove the whole assembly. Best widget investment you will make on the FS7, and certainly the cheapest.
