FS7: FS7 & Glidecam HD4000

Yeah it really feels like the camera is moving on top of the glidecam - this is the same type of jitter that ronin users get when using bigger lenses without lens support. Your lens is rather small, so I doubt it's that. But I do think it's got to do with the mounting of the camera to the glide cam, or perhaps the actual glide cam itself under this weight. Maybe, as suggested earlier, something is loose up top?

I think I know what the issue is, on the bottom of the glide cam where you mount the weights (I'll call them wings) are they extended as far out as they can be? I had a shoot yesterday and noticed the Glidecam was shaking a bit and moved them as far inward as they could go and it went away!!! Could you be experiencing the same thing?

I'd recommend the Kessler Qwik Release system. Can be loaded from top (no sliding necessary - important with the FS7 with the "magic arm" sticking forward like an elephant's d..k), and is super-tight. I have to clap plates on both my tripods, and a single camera plate; also important is that the plate happens to be in perfect size: long enough to make fine-tuning forth-back adjustments, but small enough to not hurt your shoulder when shooting hand-held, and super-lightweight, too. Something leagues apart from the old good Manfrotto quick release system, and even better than Sony's venerable VCT...

PS. That said - even with a tight attachment I wouldn't even try the FS7 on the Glidecam HD4000 without the vest and arm... But I'm partially disabled, so can't speak for abilities of healthy people attending the gym on a regular basis :)
