In my opinion, this could potentially replace FS7.

Pros compared to FS7
- Timecode (No need for XDCA unit)
- Cost is lower
- Dual ISO option (no detail on what the base ISO's are, but if it works like Varicam LT or 35 at 5000 & 800ISO, it definitely will be a killer option.)
- Cheaper Media (uses SD Cards)
- Higher internal FPS shoot (@240fps vs 180)

Cons compared to FS7
- Not a shoulder mountable camera. Will need other accessories to make that happen.
- EF only - PL mount or any other mounts will have problems with this camera.

What are your thoughts? Will you move on from FS7 to EVA 1?

By fall Sony most likely will have the FS5mkII out...

I'm hoping for a FS5 style camera with full frame, IBIS (not electronic IS, like that Panasonic) and updated face detection auto focus from the a6500/a9. That combined with Sony's 24-70 and 70-200 f2.8 GM lenses would have been amazing for almost all occasions...

I do like variable ND on my FS5. Looks like the EVA 1 doesn't have that feature. Also, don't see a LMH gain/iso switch on the EVA 1.

I wouldn't look upon that Eva girl to be that interesting for Sony FS5/7 users. FS7 is a superior camera and the FS5 has some great features plus that Eva will show limitations the Sony cameras doesn't have. FS5 II is one interesting camera to wait for.

But I see Canons C200 as a serious camera to put a dent in the FS5/5 user base if they just will up that video codec. It's just such a quality camera.
