FS7: FS7 firmware V4 user question

Hi, for the fellas that have updated to v4 firmware, exactly what are the new features and have they helped you? thank you

There is quite a number of new features - but the ones I personally find useful (and take advantage of them quite often) are following:

- in CineEI mode, the "Video monitoring" (histogram, WFM etc.) can now be toggled between reflecting your LUTed viewfinder levels, or the SDI 1 (internal Slog recording); it would be even better if you could assign the toggle to a user button instead of digging into the menu. Please note that zebras are still indicative of your viewfinder levels only (as they are generated in the VF itself, not in the camera - so they know nothing of what is actually being recorded)!

- I also sometimes use the flexible focus area, but the implementation of adjusting it is not very convenient

As I said there is more new features - the above two are the most prominent I could think of that early in the morning, before taking my first cup of coffee :) Others will certainly chime in.

The point, that you can measure with the waveform monitor the log picture and have also the LUT in the preview monitor is important. Because I want to control the luminance by the waveform monitor but love also to have a LUT applied in the preview.

When shooting in 2K/HD, you can choose to downscale the image from the full 4K frame or extract it from the center. This effectively doubles your lens focal length as well as produces fewer artifacts when shooting at higher frame rates.

But this was already possible in the previous firmware, when baking in the lut and looking at it you will get the waveform

I've been looking for this option and I can't find it. My FS7's only monitor pre LUT in the waveform. Where is the pre/post LUT monitoring option hidden?
