FS7: FS7 firmware 3.0 - what we will see

Sony can we have Face Tracking for focus, and the ability to make the auto focus target window larger?

Would also like to have Digital Lens Correction for the 18-105mm and the 28-135mm while shooting 4K
 
Cynthia - None of that will happen . Just not in the architecture of the camera or within the power limitations . I've been assured of this by Juan Martinez.
 
Sony also needs to fix the bug where the camera can be put into a lower resolution mode than the output format setting is set to, ie., output set to 4K, and then you switch camera to MPEG422 mode and camera doesn't change the remaining time on cards because it will still attempt to shoot 4K--the mode never really changed. A warning dialog should appear when one has the output set to a higher res than the camera's operating mode.

The layout was more or less the same as before.

I also realized that the iris changes were more instant than
they are on my FS7. Maybe that's just me, but the overall
response of the camera starts to annoy me more than anything
else, where I found some workaround.

I really, really hope for this is going to come to the FS7 with a much
snappier behaviour. As it is, it's in my way when things need to get
fast.

As this was the firmware of the FS5, we don't know if it's really
comparable to the FS7 V3. BUt as Alistair, whom I met at the IBC
said: Sony seems to listen...
 
I have a lot of time for Alistair, but I've had my camera for a year.

Tutorial videos and new features are all well and good, but if you don't bother to fix potentially shoot-damaging bugs then you don't get the benefit of the doubt.

Absolutely! :( I have high hopes for 3.0 fixing all those bugs, if not... I will be angry at Sony :/
