FS7: FS7 Downloadable footage? And is this a comfortable handheld camera?

Hi guys, two questions.

1) Does anyone know of any links to the downloadable footage straight from the FS7?(Possibly at different frame and bit rates)

2) What has been your experience using the shoulder mount and grip for a long handheld shoot day?

Thanks.

I can answer question 2 with a yes. I have shot hand held with the fs7 (with a vocas shoulder mount) and the hand grip is a very good addition.

To answer your 2nd question,
I use a Vocas universal baseplate to push the shoulder mount even more forward to balance longer zoom lens, and it had been great. I shot two weeks of behind the scene doc for a site specific performance with the camera on the shoulder all the time and don't have any complain. I can't imagine going back to shoot handheld with a DSLR now after getting used to the shoulder mount.

I had posted a simple modification I made with the stock handgrip on this page and it helps the camera balance better.

If your camera lives on your shoulder, a good shoulder rig will help.

With that said, I shoot it barebones handheld all the time and it's a complete joy to shoot with. Compared to other cameras like the C-Series and DSLRs, BMC, etc... it's a dream in terms of ergonomics.

Funnest camera I've ever shot with. It makes shooting so fun - small, easy to cradle or go on the shoulder.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I will definitely try out the FS7 on my next shoot.

Regarding downloadable footage, no links anywhere?

Thanks again.

What sort of footage are you looking for? I have nothing on me that I can share with others that looks great (all private corporate client stuff) but when it stops raining I can always pop outside and just roll off some viz if you are just wanting to play with XAVC-I footage in your NLE.

Thanks frame for your response.

Any subject that shows some dynamic range and handheld.

Looking to see how good XAVC-L HD 50 MPEG-4 H.264/AVC
VBR, maximum bit rate 50 Mb/s is for broadcast. And possibly another shot of something at max UHD or 4k. Both settings at 29.97

Thanks again!
