FS7: Fs7 and back ext question

Does the camera and that back extension both have to be on the latest version eg.. if the ext is V2 does the camera has to be V4..

Actually I have that question also. My FS7 is on v4 but I just bought a second hand XDCA-FS7. Does that need to be upgraded also?
 
all of our FS7 bodies are on V4, and the extension is on V2. haven't caught wind of any update for the extension in a long while.
