FS7: FS7 2k full scan mode

Very happy with V3 firmware, especially the complete lack of lag on the menu now. Nice one Sony!

Please can someone explain what 2k FULL scan mode is actually used for as I've heard all sorts of conflicting knowledge?

Thanks.

2k Full Scan is used to generate non-center crop 2k RAW out. The only reason I can think to use this would be if you needed to record 240fps. The quality will be inferior to 2k Center crop, HD, or, obviously, 4K.

Thanks for that Christopher. That too was evading me cabeza!
And...I am so bloody confused with LUT application, LUT baked vs. non-baked in and how to bake or apply the look, etc....that I just don't go there; but I'm thinking I'm only getting a portion of the potential of my FS7.
I have Doug's Field Guide but as the name suggests, it really just that. It assumes you know all about the intricacies of sLog, LUTs, etc.
I'm wondering if there is a full tutorial by some entity that will help an old film/video guy get a better understanding of the aforementioned applications. It almost seems like one needs to be a DIT, which may be the case. At this juncture, I just use the sLog setting without any regard to LUTs.

From another old film/video guy, take Doug's full video course in the camera. It's level of detail gave me a good understanding of LUT's, SLOG3 and exposure.
