Hello, need advise on how to shoot videio walking from outside to inside, preferably in one shot. Planning to use fs5 on ronin m. Leave camera on AWB? ISO? How about ND? Thank you!

If you're working by yourself, it's probably necessary to leave the camera on AUTO.

For the best results, you'd have people helping you in controlling your camera and lens wirelessly with various tools.

Depends how dark "inside" is. If its not too dark, than the variable ND filter in "auto" mode will be a very useful tool. However if you walk from bright sun into a dark church it maybe a challenge doing this in one shot on full auto as even the lowest level of ND may already be way too dark inside.

If practical, i would blast the interior with enough light to match the exterior. You will have to consider room size and wall color in order to even consider pulling this off. The exterior should wind up being about 1 to .5 stops brighter than the interior. In order to look natural. When the scene calls for a cut to more interior shots, switch out your lighting to a more practical interior lighting scheme.

Alternatiey you could break it up into two shots as others have suggested or go the auto exposure/ND route.

If its not a massive difference you can pull the iris .. just as your going through the door.. this can work.. or get you close for grading.. obviously wide open to 16 its going to show.. but a couple of stops you can get a way with it if done well..

Ive never used auto, especially auto ND - it probably works quite well.

Doing it 'properly' is complex and expensive

Breaking the shot.. may break the shot!

Depends on the exact level of precision and quality you need...

On a recent job I did several "test" shots using just the FS5 with a manual lens on a gimbal, using autoND and autoWB since the interior lighting was halogen. Here's a couple samples:

In a controlled situation, you could replace all the interior lighting with daylight units to remove one more variable
