FS5: FS5 Handgrip / LANC - would it work with other Sony Cameras ?

I have a Z280 which has the same 2.5mm LANC remote port as the FS5 - would it be likely I could use the FS5 handgrip to at least stop/start the Z280 ?
 
Just answered my own question - a mate of mine has an FS5 which I just tried it with - and yep, zoom, record stop/start, even the function buttons work !
Great, because I'm looking at getting an FS5 and a Smallrig shoulder rig, and now realise I can swap between the two cameras and use the extended handgrip - yay :)
