FS5: FS5 Handgrip Help

Hello

I just recently purchased an FS5 handgrip to use on my FS7 via the SmallRig rosette adapter for the FS5 handgrip. The FS5 handgrip came in yesterday, but there seems to be a problem with the Release button. It doesn't do anything. In fact, it feels stuck. Sliding it to the right doesn't do anything as it barely even moves. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar issue with their FS5 handgrip, and/or if someone would mind posting a quick clip of them using the Release button to move the grip. I want to make sure it's not me just being ignorant about how this grip works. Thanks!

As I recall, there is a release pin on the grip. The pin locks the grip into the three positions that it moves through. Mine got stuck and wouldn't move and had to be lubricated lightly after disassembling the back of the grip. If yours is a new grip, I would contact Sony and get a replacement.

Josh, did you get this resolved? I can speak with you on phone, I make handgrip accessories and am familiar with the FS5 mechanics.
Glad to help

My replacement grip still won't rotate when the release button is pressed. In fact, both grips seem to not activate the release button. I'm wondering if there's a pin or something that needs to be activated in order to make the release work on the FS5 handgrip and perhaps this isn't getting activated when simply converting the handgrip to a rosette mount. Anyone else have any thoughts or a way I can override this?
