FS5: fs5 / Atomos Shogun inferno warping footage

This seems like it should be an easy fix but I can't figure it out. The footage that I'm pulling from the atomos recorder has a warping look. Does anyone know what I'm missing here to get rid of this?

That's interesting. Which lens?

If it's a Sony, my very random guess is the setting that controls lens distortion (looks like a wider FOV) is somehow not working via external output.

Can you check to see if it's on or disabled when you're connected to the Atomos?

My guess as well would be that if you're outputting RAW to the Atomos then the camera is sending the signal the way it comes off the sensor -- which would feed out before the camera would perform lens distortion corrections for any internally recorded signal. Also guessing the 18-105?

I’m assuming you’re sending raw via SDI to the Shogun, in which case there won’t be any lens correction applied to the external image. This is most apparent with a lens like the 18-105, which really benefits from the in-camera lens correction. Your only options are to use a different lens or try to fix it in post (Resolve has a decent lens correction effect).

Yep that's definitely my problem, the lens correction is happening in camera but not on the recorder. Thanks for the help
