Works great, looks great, extra long life battery in addition to the standard, plus the firewire cable all for the low low price of $500... but wait, there's more... no just kidding there's not more, thats it.

hey Sean, I was wondering what camera you were using your fs4 on. Reason- I bought same unit for my hvx and found out it wont take in dvc pro 50 hd
Now trying to sell same unit

that unit will work with your camera but it will only record to s.d.
since the dvx does not record hd to tape
 
I can definitely post some photos tonight, and yes thats the cam I have been using it with problem free!
 
heres the pics... screen doesn't have that multicolor look, just something to do with the picture... the screen is fine.

My mistake, it's a 40GB unit (mixed it up with the one I use at work) which translates to about 3 hours or 186 minutes of record time...

sean were you responding to blutarski's question in the fact that your fs4 will work on the dvx100?
my question was, will the fs4 hd. record from the hvx when the fs4 is set to hdd mode.
ive pretty much tried everything and cant get timecode into the device from the hvx out from the 1394
all settings are proper on camera

Hey sean I don't think it'll work unless you do the pro upgrade thing, and even then, I think it only records HDV, Focus Enhancements has a forum too you'd probably be able to get your definite answer there

And for those interested 500 + shipping and you never have to log and capture again!!! Save hours of time.
