Shot some footage with the Sony FS100. A friend of mine is trying to edit it for me using FCP6 but can't seem to get it to import onto his time line? Anyone using the FCP for editing their footage???? Thanks

Convert all the *.MTS files to ProRessHQ and import these ProRes files.

Thanks I will pass this info onto him.
If he has a legitimate version of final cut 6 it should read the files off the SD card. If not, like already stated above he should down load a software program like clip rap and convert the files to Proress Lite, anything above that would be overkill. Then he can import those files into final cut with out problem. If he is using the most current OS with Final Cut 6 there have been issues reported with Final Cut not being able to convert the files, It seems to be an OS issue.

Might be a good idea to have him download and install the Mac version of the Sony Content Browser too.
