FS100 top handle... in Europe...

I know about that nice walnut top handle and if tax and customs didn't kill it I would get it.

So right now, after that pityful little screw that locks the slider was worn down, I'm looking for a European available top handle.

BUT, the criteria is that it must be able to carry a mic.......

So I plead you, please share your European handle setups. What parts you put together and so on.

I tried looking at Cinegearpro.com for a Tilta solution, but I think it's a bit over the top going for a c-clamp and what not, when all I really want for christmas is a top handle (ok... that was lame ;) )

Cheers and merry x-mas.

Yeah I saw that too... I'm in doubt about the size, since you have the ND filter on the FS700 which makes it a bit longer around the hot shoe area.
Also that model is more than I'm looking for. The handle that goes with that is related to the c-clamp and therefore the entire kit. I only need the handle :(

i have that walnut handle by caleb crosby of shootingmachine.net and am looking to sell it for usd 150. Why would customs kill? Its not that expensive and i can mark it as a gift.

Anyway, The handle uses standard 15mm rods. You can use whichever way to mount the fs100 mic holder to one of them. Id try berkey systems threaded 15mm rod and spud block for a clean look.

Heh... honestly, Danish customs nick pretty much every single package they can see hasn't been declared. Even "presents"...

It worked for a while, but in a small country word travels fast. Now when I get presents from Norway which is outside EU, my mother always write on the package what is in it to avoid it being delayed in customs x)

Danish custom limit: 14 dollars.....

So your 150 dollars actually will turn into 253 dollars before reaching :)
