FS100 footage onto the desktop

Using the FS100 on a short film and editing on the Vegas Pro 11. I have a question on the best way to download the footage onto my computer.

On the Canon 5d mkiii I just drag and drop from the SD card onto my desktop from there I can click on the video and it plays great or go into Vegas and pull the video onto my time line.

On the HVX200A I drag and drop the footage from my P2 card onto my desktop but I can't watch it on my desktop I have to open up the Vegas file and use raylight to see and hear the footage.

On the FS100 I notice that if I drag and drop it from my SD card onto my desktop I can see the footage but can't hear it. I have to open up Vegas to be able to see and hear the footage. Is there a software that I should use or is this the norm on the transferring the footage from the SD card?

THANKS

I dont own a PC or vagas etc.

Wild stab in the dark, if you change the camera audio from PCM to Dolby more software seems to play it..

I don't have Vegas but can you do something like "log and transfer" or "import from camera" in Vegas? Like importing via Vegas to your computer so it's optimised for your system.
The footage gets a weird AVCHD stucture in QT on my mac when I just drag and drop from SD. When I "import from camera" in FCPX it makes neat working QT files importing it from SD.

Maybe Vagas can do something like that?

+1 for VLC,it reads almost every kind of file. if you only need to look at the clip and listen to audio VLC is fine..i have the FS100 and i often use vlc with it to check some clips if im not editing!
