FS100 Color Profile with (hopefully) accurate skintones

Looks good. I will give it a go shortly I have made one that does the same however
I'm not positive how it will hold up outside of a controlled environment.

Can you care to comment on how it handles highlights?

And is the desaturation just for grading/correction or intentional
to remove more red?

Thanks, Stance media! I haven't really had any issues with highlights with this setting. I always check my histogram and feel that I haven't had any highlights that turn out too ugly.

I desaturate just b/c it is easy to add back in post. I guess it would also help with the red clipping.

I took a lot of outdoor shots not in a controlled environment and didn't have an issue with highlights. Although I tend to underexpose just a bit.

Thanks for looking!

Pretty 'cool' skin tones, no orange or red. I like the non-graded shots, the graded shots are a bit.... but that's just personal preference, good job anyway, I will test them out.

I've shot for a couple of days with this and it's my favorite PP so far. Very versatile and doesn't require extreme grading. I think pushing the color depths so hard does raise the noise a tad, but it's worth the trade off IMHO. I Only wish I had this months ago, I'm still trying to "get the red out" of an interview I shot in November.

At first, I wasn't exactly sold on this, but after a little more of a play, im getting better results.

CC was only increase the whites and saturation, after posting this i've increased the blacks a little bit, which made it even better.

Thanks so much, guys. Agreed the grade isn't great. I just put an S-curve on it. Should have experimented a little more. Let me know if you find any different versions of this that are working for you.

Skin tones are the one thing I struggle with the most with the FS-100. It doesn't help that most of the time the 5D is the second camera on a lot of shoots. The 5D does something special with skin tones and trying to get the FS100 to match has been a challenge. I like what you've done with your FS-100, if you get a chance maybe do a side by side with a 5D and see how it looks. I'd be interested to see the results.
