FS100 and V-Locks question

Hi all,
I recently ordered some V-lock batteries to run my LED's when off the grid and thought I'd may as well rig out my FS100 to run off them as well should the need arise.

But I'm kind of stumped as to how I can power the FS100 from either the battery or using a plate, the camera doesn't have a DC port and I can't seem to source a dummy battery that plugs into the 7.2v port on the plate.

The only option I've seen is the Hawks Woods Sony L dummy battery to a D-Tap, but I was hoping to keep the D-Tap free.

Am I overlooking something here? Bit new to V-Locks.

I think you are missing that some Vlock plates have 4 Dtaps

I use the HW system with thier plate and dummy batt and it works great

Dtap for monitor, and camera via dummy batt and spare Dtaps for camera light or suchlike if I ever want such an item on my rig..

Thanks for the info, I wasn't actually aware that some plates came with multiple d taps.
Was looking for an alternative to the HW dummy cable though, $200 is a bit steep.
 
Well if anyone is playing along at home, looks like Switronix (aka Pro-X) make a Dummy to D-Tap as well.
Half the price of the Hawks Wood one.
 
Hawkwoods have a very reasonably priced power distribution boxes but some of their accessories are outrageously overpriced. For instance they sell their VL-DC5 Power Disribution Box for $156 USD which is very reasonable in my opinion.

Their DC-15A clamp which connects the unit to your 15mm rail rig sells for $122 !!! WTF. Now just in case you wondering, this is not some glorious clamp with some unbelievable features, here is the link to mounting clamp;

I have seen similar clamps selling on ebay for $15-$20

Now how they come up with that pricing I'll never know but it really annoyed me. I mean, just sell the power distribution box for $100 more and give away the clamp for free and I wouldn't have batted an eye or said anything negative on an open forum. Anyways, just venting a little
