FS100 and Carl Zeiss Planar 50mm 1.7

Just thought I'd share this, however insignificant it might be :) In other words... this is not cinematography. It's just a quick test.

I'm using the Zeiss with the Fotodiox kind of adapter. It's not that great to be honest. It bit too much play between lens and adapter, but I reckon that if you strap your follow focus on it might not play that much.

This is straight off camera, no curves or anything. The settings are listed by the video on Vimeo: (PASSWORD: dvxuser)


Imo, I like the color rendition and contrast it gives. It also reminds me how I like lenses where you indeed could mark the focus wheel and trust it to stick unlike the kit lens where it's hit and miss.

Looks good. Great bunch of colours in that room. You say "straight off camera" but what picture profile did you use?
