FS: Steadicam Flyer

Jeff Anderson

Custom Title!
Up for sale is my Steadicam Flyer - note that this is not the LE model but the second version of the original Flyer (black arm). Its rated to fly 15 lbs and does it wonderfully. Well suited to a bare HVX or one with a 35mm adapter. Have also had lots of success flying my d90 with a weight plate. Asking 5200 plus shipping. Note that due to the weight and size of the entire system this could easily cost $100 if not more to ship.

Condition is fantastic - has some cosmetic scratches that affect the performance in no way whatsoever. A fantastic tool to shoot all day long with and really up your production value.

Includes everything seen and described in the photos below.

Photos and description coming ASAP.

Have sold many a things here and looking forward to giving this a new home with another DVXuser.

Thanks for looking!

No, actually getting out for a while - life's put me on a different path for awhile and I'm just out of time to operate anymore. Moving from Steadicam's to bicycles...

oh and bump!

Break it up?

Break it up?

Would you consider breaking up the package? I already have the arm and vest. Just curious.

I can answer that...main differences are the new Flyer LE has a 19 lb weight rating vs. 15lb., the LE has a carbon fiber extendable post and bigger handgrip (vs. aluminum), and some slight arm design changes were made to eliminate the "pinch points". Note that some original Flyer arms will hold up to 19 lb. There was some manufacturing variability. If the arm will lift it without sagging, it's okay. There are a few other very minor changes but it's still an awesome rig for HVX-class cameras.

Ahh thanks Sunporch - have been offline a tad too much lately - I think that pretty much covers most of the differences. The stand is also different - I believe the current model uses a small c-stand as opposed to the light stand style. I haven't tested this arm in particular so I can't really say its true max weight. I can say it was happy as a clam at 15 lbs one day (HVX 35mm rig) and I wouldve been comfortable with a bit more weight had we needed to add more.

Didnt get a PM Aaron, hope this clears up your guestion though.
