I am half and half on selling this camera. I want to possibly move into a DVX and being unemployed at the moment is a bear. Selling this may help offset the switchover.
Camera is a Sony DCR-PD170. Comes with:
.7x Sony Wide angle
Sony Directional Shotgun mic
Lens hoods for both with and without wide angle
Polarizing Filter
UV Filter
Warming Filter
2 12 hour batteries that hold full charges
2 12 hour batts that hold half charges
Original battery (100 minutes or so)
charger
everything else I have for it besides the rain cover.
130 hours of tape run on the heads. The drums are at 260 hours The camera spent most of its life on a tripod under a cover in a studio before it came to me. I used it a few days in the park at Loon Mtn. Camera is in minty shape aside from a small trim piece missing on the handle. I will get pics. Glass is as new, body shows very little signs of use.
This camera is a beefed up version of a VX2100 that was made for use in the field gathering news and footage for documentaries. It gets everything a VX2100 has but it gains 2 XLR inputs with phantom power of 48v. I have also been told the chassis was beefed up and better weather proofed.
Some sample video I shot is here:

Retail is $3700
Its $3100 here - http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Professio.../dp/B0001851PA
B&H wants $2500ish
I would like to get $1400 plus shipping or locally preferred. Camera is located in NH with occasional jaunts to NJ.
