I've a Sony DSR-11 deck for sell. Almost never used. It has less than 20 hours on the tape run counter. The problem is that the firewire port doesn't work our I think so. I can watch my miniDV tapes on the TV, rewind, play pause or forward but I'm not able to capture.
A friend of mine came and installed all my video editing system in 2006 and everything worked fine. Then, in June 2006 I changed my computers and tried to reinstall everything by myself. Maybe when I reinstalled FCP I forgot to change a setting or maybe the firewire port on the DSR-11 is broken ... I've not idea.
By the way you can make it repair or just plug it on your DVX and your DVX to computer so you don't use your DVX heads.
