Hi everyone! i'd like to sell this ASAP!! i want to get a DVX100a and Century Mk2 fisheye, so i wanna sell this! for $1900 USD you get the worlds mintiest Sony DCR-VX1000, professionally tuned by Video Electronics before i bought it, and a Century Optics Mark1 Ultra Fisheye adapter, i bought brand new, used it a hand full of times. I rean about 8 tapes through this camera, which says something about the usage of both the camera and lens.

Paypal only, local pickup accepted, I'm from central Pennsylvania, will ship if you pay extra! I will accept trades for only a DVX100a and Century Optics Mk2.

I have two Japanese VX1000s. Both need repairing. Apparently the Japanese models are the only ones that have a 16.9 mode. Beats me on how it looks.
Why do you think the cam is worth more than a used VX2000/ 2100, 150/170, DVX etc ?
 
the japanese vx1000 16:9 is just title bars that come down over the 4:3, it's not true 16:9

as for the price, the condition, internally and externally is well worth the price, the camera alone is amazingly mint, well worth the same price of a VX2000/VX2100 or even a dvx100. It comes with the best fisheye lens you can buy for this camera made by Century Optics, and the glass is 100% mint.
 
Yes it's obviously not true 16.9 but I believe there was some stretch to the image or at least the illusion of it. However, I never used it. Classic cam though and the century is a great lens.
I remember when a friend was shooting for a CBC series called ZED TV. They were working in cold weather and the main cam JVC 500 conked due to not being able to handle the conditions. He went to his trunk and pulled out the b cam which was the VX1000 and it worked like a trooper.
Even pulled some nice filmic -like grain out of it.
I guess it's a personal call on what it's worth to someone today, good luck on selling it.
 
i know you're very eager, but i sold this back in december, you can buy the camera off XiaXinde, he's an ebay seller, or in the classifieds on www.forums.skateperception.com. You can buy the Century fisheye from schneideroptics.com or amazon.com or even ebay.
