Condition:
Everything is in great condition. Normal wear and tear on a some of the obvious items. The NTG-2 was handled like a baby. Everything is included in the NTG-2, the zip case, the manuals, the shock and pole mounts and foam wind breaker. There is one slight issue with the boompole, which I think is an inherent problem in this model, the bottom tensioner for the bottom telescope, if you tighten it too much, when you go to break down the pole, sometimes it locks up. When this happens, you have to loosen the tensioner so you can access the wedge under it, take a pair of channel locks and break it free. This is simply avoided by not tensioning up the bottom tensioner to much. I have also labeled it to remind boom operators.
An addition I took a picture of the boompole is the bottom. The problem I found is most boom operators never noticed when they are on down time, they would rest the pole on its butt and the cable that came out of the bottom kept getting cut cause they would sometimes drop it on the ground. I went through 2 cables to figure this out. I took a quarter inch thick piece of rubber and rapped it with electrical tape. Drilled a hole big enough for the xlr head and fitted it on the pole. Now you can rest it on the ground and not cut any cables
Everything but the pole fits perfectly in the case. The headphones cover the entire ear. Cables are in good condition.
