Selling a brand new RR Micro Shoulder Mount with additional Micro Mount. Purchased new two months ago, assembled and never used. (It's a really nice piece of gear, very well-made, but just not right for my style of shooting.)

Indeed $395 is the price from RedRock, though they'll make you pay shipping, which I am eating.

Oh, and if you're not interested, stay out of the thread.

wow that's pretty agressive of you. I actually was interested in the shoulder mount which is why I looked up the going price. I then posted the question because maybe the mount was more expensive when you bought it and redrock happened to lower their price. Clearly this is not the case and I wish you the best of luck in selling the shoulder mount for retail price minus the 10.50 for shipping.

Just a question to the previous owner/and or new buyer:

Is the Rod Clamp have a 1/4-20" thread just like any old baseplate? Can I mount my DSLR (Canon 7D) onto it? Looking to buy one from RedRock...

Thanks!
Gil

"Optional microMount connector with 1/4" 20 male/female tap can be used to mount on-camera LCD monitor, articulating arm, or other accessories. The microMount can also be positioned on any 15mm rod anywhere on your rig for added flexibility"

You could also get one of these:

I tried out a friend's Captain Stubling and it worked great. Very smooth to walk around with.

sorry for the multiple posting

The Micromount is really just for accessories - probably great for a monitor but doesn't look like it would hold a camera.

And the Stubling - while a great bit of kit - is $975 compared the the MicroShoulderMount at $395!

Honestly, I think you'll want the DSLR baseplate that RedRock sells to go with their shoulder mount. You can use it without, I think, but the baseplate looks like it will make life much, much easier with the 7D.
