ITEM IS NOW SOLD!
Panasonic PV-GS400 NTSC SD video camera with all original accessories and packaging. Kit includes other accessories to fully outfit the camera for a variety of independent filmmaking activities, including step ring, lens cap, lens hood, UV filter, ND filters (3), circular polarizer filter, ultra wide-angle lens, camera mountable stereo microphone, and more. The filters are high-quality filters from B&W, Tiffen, and Sunpak. I'm also including a 300-page book on digital filmmaking.
This is the legendary GS400, perhaps the best consumer SD video camera ever designed. It features superb manual control of zoom, focus, shutter, iris, and white balance, all through convenient external buttons and a multi-function ring. It offers fine tuning picture adjustments of sharpening, color saturation, contrast, and sensitivity of auto-exposure, as well as the great PROCINEMA mode that features film-like gamma response and full-frame recording.
I have finally decided to part with my GS400. I upgraded to the DVX100B last June, but have kept this camera around until now because it's such a great piece of gear. This camera holds a lot memories for me. It was used to shoot 13 films of various lengths and a music video. We won numerous awards for these films, including a number of cinematography awards. There is no doubt this camera can compete. I will include a DVD of some of our films so they can live on with the camera.
The camera is in excellent condition, and has been well cared for since I originally purchased it in October 2004. I sent it in to Panasonic for a yearly cleaning and maintenance.
I originally purchased the Panasonic extended warranty, and it is about to expire. I now have the option of renewing it for one to three years, and the new warranty can be transferred to your name. So, if you purchase now, you have the option of getting an authentic Panasonic factory extended warranty for 1-3 years at a small extra cost.
$1400 for everything. Buyer pays shipping costs. Panasonnic extended warranty is optional at $100/year up to three years. PayPal preferred, but checks and money orders accepted (takes longer to clear). Please email joshprovost@yahoo.com (I'm not a big fan of forum PM's).
