I never make comments like this especially on someone's for sale thread but when you try selling your camera with pictures and description from another thread, say it's a deal when you offer less items than the original camera seller...that just irks.

Maybe you purchased the camera that you're selling from the guy in Encinitas. If so, how do you substantiate hiking up the price, and offering less product e.g. no Rhode mic.

Sorry to be a d*** but I can't stand when I see something that seems like a scam.

Rule #1 when you sell on here...don't steal someone else's pics and pass them off as your own. Take original pic.

I've been lucky to deal with great sellers on this forum. Please, don't poison this thread. If you are a legit seller, don't take offense. A word of advice. If you try reselling something you bought on this forum for less, don't try reselling it for more unless you include items that significantly boost overall value.

Sorry for the confusion... I did not know my friend previously posted this or I would not have posted it myself. This is *MY* camera but we took the pictures at his house, we are both friends from encinitas, his name is Dane and my name is Matt... I joined DVXUser a while ago to sell another camera I had, but I never used it and forgot I had an account. Dane thought I had never created a DVXUser account so I guess he took the liberty of posting it for me... The reason the mic isn't included anymore is because it is his. I was originally going to sell it in the package and give him money but I just ended up giving it back to him. I apologize for the price hike, I didn't know he had listed it for so low. He never sold the camera because it is mine to begin with, again I am sorry for any confusion and I promise this is not a scam. P.S. I will tell him to take the other post down as soon as I can.

I'm interested, but not at that price. I can get a new one for about $300 cheaper (minus the bag, though I'm not sure that bag is worth $300). I didn't really see much extra stuff outside the normal shipping contents as far as accessories go.

I don't need the bag, and I don't want to pay "new" price....if you interested in lowering the deal, PM me. Thanks!

If you want to sell this you're gonna seriously drop your asking price. You're asking a few hundred dollars more than everything costs brand new. Nobody is going to pay a few hundred extra for new equipment. I sold a very similar bundle a few months ago and got $2700 after a month of slowly lowering the price until someone bought it. Also that was before the camera had a $200 price drop. Just trying to give you a heads up because at your asking price its going to take you months and months of slowly lowering the price before someone finally buys it, at which point the camera will drop even more in price and you'll be lucky to get $2500.

this entire sale seems sketchy...., you have friends that post your items for sale at different prices then you thought... maybe you should get new friends!!!

Hey, now THERE'S an idea...sell me the camera for $2,500 today and save yourself months of haggling

It can't be a scam because his asking price is so high that nobody would ever buy so he's have no way of scamming anyone. I think he's telling the truth and his friend was just trying to help him out by seeing if there was any interest in his camera.

Yes my friend was trying to help me out and there was obviously just a lack of communication. I am telling the truth and this is a legit sale. To be completely honest I didn't think it was toooo high up there. There is a $350 3yr extended warranty that has 2 years left, a 32 gig class 6 sd card which is about $100 and the bag is $150 new on top of the $3500 for the camera new(b4 price drop), the camera only has 80 hrs so its pretty close to new. There aren't any cosmetic damages and there is a few accessories I threw in like HDMI cable, and shipping. I did not know about a price drop until i just checked it now so if anyone is still interested i will drop the bundle to $3450 shipped... If I'm still crazy please lemme know. Thanks -Matt

Still crazy. I wasn't happy losing a grand on my HMC150 with less than 40 hours on it, but it's the reality of selling used equipment. Like I was saying before the longer you wait the less the camera will be worth. For me it's the last time I ever buy new equipment.

My advice...if you are in a hurry to sell, then the price is too high. If you don't mind if it sells quickly (or ever) then set your price as you like, do a daily bump, and hope you catch a fish.

Alternatively, try eBay...the prices there can go a little higher than the going rate here. People are willing to pay more on eBay because there is a perception of buyer protection and all that.

In my brief searching here the last few months, HMC going rate for low hours is around $3K, usually including some kind of case (though maybe not as nice as what you might have here).

Either way, good luck!

Thank you all for your input, it was worth trying to sell my equipment on this website. Clearly you all are not interested in my asking price. Hopefully I can find someone here to be reasonable and pay around what I am looking for. Otherwise I must travel to other locations on this here inter-webs. Have a nice day.
