FS or FT: Brand new Sony studio camera.

Hey everyone,
Ive come across this brand new sony studio camera. I took it to camera store around my area (hunts video and photography) and they let me know that the camera has never been used before. I am a skateboard filmer and have no use for a studio camera.
The camera includes:
Sony Camera Adaptor : (model: CA-327)
Canon lens (model: vcl-713bx)
Sony Video Camera (model: dcx-327A)
Sony Camera Case.

hope its okay to post pictures and email address on this form ive never used it before!

No offense but the way you've written your listing makes it sound stolen. Who "comes across" a studio camera?

Ahh, memories. I bought one of these back in the day. I had it for quite a while. You could dock it to a Pro Sony Hi-8 deck called the EVV-9000, or the Sony PVV-1 Beta SP cheap recorder or with an adapter, you could dock it to the BVV-5 broadcast Beta SP recorder that cost a bloody fortune.

That is the studio triaxial back, designed to be used with a CCU.

1/2" Hyper HAD FIT CCDs, nice VF. This is a cheapo lens.

Good luck on $3,000.00, not much demand for dockable old SD technology. Good camera but it is an antique.

My step father manages a cleaning company that cleans out school that are shutting down all over the north east. He was cleaning out one of the rooms when he found the camera. He gave it to me as a gift knowing that i film skateboard videos. The camera is in brand spanking new condition. I would much rather a trade than the money because it just skips the middle man of me having to go and purchase an hvx haha.

this is a pretty old camera and $3,000 is kind of pushing it because not a lot still use this tech.

side note:
i don't know about this forum, but in another forum I am at, head-fi, it is a bit rude to other people trying to sell their equipment to bump twice a day.

Yeah the price may be a steep, im lowering it from $3000.00 to $2300.00.
i was just going of the price suggestion i received from my local camera shop.

and once again i am fairly new to the forum so my apologies if im not up to date with all the "bumping etiquette"

I think $1200 is a bit more along the lines of this system. $1500-$2000 will get you a cheapie BetaSP deck.

This old but in great shape camera will probably sell elsewhere, moe thatn likely ebay where someone who has a flypack or small studio still using these will want to pick it up. Nice camera, low end lens as Dan noted.
